US Duty and Tax Threshold Increases!

From the 10th March 2016, shipments with a value of up to $800 will generally be permitted entry into the United States free from duty and tax.

A wide reaching Customs reauthorisation bill (H.R. 644, the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act) was signed into law by President Obama on February 24, 2016.
The Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015 raises the de minimis threshold for low value shipments. This means that the value of shipments that may be imported free of duty and tax, is increased from $200 to $800*.
