SOLAS - Safety Of Life At Sea

New regulations come into force on 1st July 2016. In effect every Ocean Container shipped around the world will need to have the VGM (Verified Gross Mass) Certified before loading onto a vessel. If there is no certification, it legally cannot move.

Shippers themselves are responsible for supplying the VGM Certification. If this is not possible, Mapcargo can assist with weighing the container at the port.

Consignees may want to check their suppliers are compliant, to ensure the speedy movement of cargo.
